Product Information

Product Description

The Tesla V2L Discharge Adapter revolutionizes your electric vehicle into a versatile power station, delivering clean electricity wherever you need it. This intelligent power converter taps into your Tesla's high-voltage battery, transforming it into a reliable energy source for home, work, and outdoor adventures across multiple regions.

🔋 Model Compatibility
This discharge device is compatible with electric vehicles that meet the following three essential conditions:

1️⃣ Battery Voltage
The vehicle’s high-voltage battery must be within the 290V – 450V range.

2️⃣ Communication Protocol
The vehicle must support the CCS2 charging protocol (CCS1 is currently not supported).

3️⃣ Original BMS Support
The vehicle’s original Battery Management System (BMS) must allow discharging (Brands such as BMW/Volkswagen/Mercedes-Benz  have BMS restrictions that prevent discharging—even if voltage and protocol conditions are met, the device will not function).

Inapplicable models   Opel/Leapmotor/Volvo (except EX90/ XC40 Pure electric2021)/BMW/Škoda/Volkswagen

Product Note: Our discharging gun models are differentiated to optimize vehicle compatibility. Important: If your vehicle's Charging Port and your desired Socket Option are physically identical, purchasing one discharging gun is sufficient. A single purchase covers both needs.

Noted: This product requires CCS (Combined Charging System) compatibility in your vehicle to function properly.

How to Check if a Tesla is Equipped with CCS?

1.European Standard CCS2 Interface Models:

All factory-produced vehicles come with CCS functionality by default. No verification is needed.

2.North American Standard NACS Interface Models (2022.01+):

All factory-produced vehicles include CCS functionality. No verification is required.

3.North American Standard NACS Interface Models (Before 2022.01):

  • These vehicles do not come with CCS functionality from the factory.
  • However, a small number of customers may have installed it as an aftermarket upgrade.
  • Verification is required since not all vehicles have this feature.
  • (For verification steps, please refer to the video guide.)

  • What if my Tesla doesn’t support CCS charging?

Visit a Tesla Service Center—some models may be eligible for a CCS compatibility retrofit (hardware/software update)

Q: Will using an all-in-one discharge gun affect my Tesla's battery warranty?

A: No, using a certified external discharge device will not void your Tesla's vehicle warranty, provided the device itself does not cause any damage.

  • Advanced Safety Integration: Our discharge gun operates by using the standard DC charging protocol to communicate with your vehicle. The device fully complies with Tesla’s communication protocols and never modifies or bypasses the car's system. The device is engineered with multiple built-in safety protections, including:
    • Over-load Protection

    • Over-temperature Protection

    • SOC Detection (Automatically stops at a low battery level)
It supports a discharge power range of 4-10KW and is designed to work in harmony with your vehicle's systems, ensuring no adverse effects on your car or its battery.

  • Correct Interpretation of Tesla’s Terms: The "stationary power source" clause in the manual is designed to prevent users from removing the battery pack from the vehicle for permanent home energy use. Our device is a portable accessory, which is fundamentally different from a stationary installation.
  • Advanced Safety Integration: The device fully complies with Tesla’s communication protocols and never modifies or bypasses the car's systems. It features a built-in electronic circuit breaker and protection against overvoltage, short circuits, and overheating.
  • Battery Health Guard: To ensure your vehicle's health, the device automatically stops discharging when your Tesla battery reaches 20%.
  • Proven Reliability: In 2025 alone, thousands of units have been sold and used across Asia and Europe with zero reported warranty issues or battery damage.
  • Future-Ready Technology: The latest Tesla models (like the Model Y L and Model Y Juniper Performance) now officially support V2L features, proving that the vehicle's architecture is built for this type of power output.

Q: Why does the device stop running after the recent Tesla software update (v2026.x)?
A: Tesla vehicles with software versions starting with 2026 (e.g., v2026.8.3.6) feature upgraded power management. The vehicle now detects "simulated charging" when there is no actual power consumption, which may cause the system to automatically cut off the power link.

Q: How can I resolve this issue and keep the device running continuously?
A: (Note: Products shipped after July 25 are set to Mode 2 by default. Products shipped before July 25 were set to Mode 1 by default.)

Since most Tesla vehicles have updated their software, Mode 1 can no longer run for extended periods (suitable for short-term use around 1-2 hours for energy saving). To keep the device running continuously, please refer to the following solutions:

  • Option 1 (Default Mode / Mode 2): Keep the device in Mode 2 (or switch to Mode 2 if you have an earlier unit). This will trigger the vehicle's battery heating function, allowing the system to run uninterrupted for a long time. (Note: When in Mode 2, it is normal for the vehicle's AC fan to run once battery heating is triggered).

  • Option 2 (Switch to Mode 1 for Energy Saving / Short-Term Use): If you only need to use the device for 1 to 2 hours and want to save energy, you can switch to Mode 1 (press the button 6 times consecutively). To keep it running continuously in Mode 1 without shutting off, turn on Tesla's Camp Mode. To minimize energy consumption, turn off Auto, turn off the AC, and set the fan speed to the lowest setting.
